DAY 1. DEPARTURE CITY – ISTANBUL
Welcome to Turkey. Transfer to the hotel and free time. In the afternoon, you will receive information about the start of your tour through the notice boards located at the hotel reception.

DAY 2. ISTANBUL
Panoramic city tour. During our visit, we will enter the Mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent (the largest in Istanbul), see the city walls, the Golden Horn, the fishermen’s district, and admire the exterior of Hagia Sophia. After the tour, entrance and visit to Topkapi Palace are included, once the administrative centre of the Ottoman Empire, with its magnificent courtyards and pavilions. Free afternoon. We are in a city built on two continents.
At the end of the afternoon, we will provide a transfer to the Taksim district, the city’s liveliest commercial and local area. Time for dinner in one of its many restaurants. You may also take the historic tram that runs through the district or visit the nearby Galata Tower.

DAY 3. ISTANBUL
Today we include a Bosphorus boat trip of approximately two hours. It will be operated on a private boat for our travellers. The Bosphorus is a strait connecting the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, dividing Istanbul into two parts: the European and the Asian side. We will enjoy the lively traffic of the strait, pass beneath the two bridges linking Europe and Asia, and admire the sultans’ palaces, typical wooden houses and Ottoman villas. Return to central Istanbul. Free time.

DAY 4. ISTANBUL – EPHESUS – KUŞADASI
We depart early from Istanbul and travel through inland Anatolia. Around lunchtime we arrive in EPHESUS, the best-preserved ancient city in Asia Minor; 2,000 years ago it had a population of a quarter of a million inhabitants. We visit the Basilica of Saint John, followed by the House of the Virgin Mary and the archaeological site (entrances included). We then continue to KUŞADASI, a popular coastal town with a small castle and plenty of atmosphere and shopping. Dinner included.

DAY 5. KUŞADASI – BODRUM – MARMARIS
We depart towards one of Turkey’s natural wonders, LAKE BAFA. We continue to BODRUM, a beautiful fortified town of Greek origin. You may visit its castle, walk through its lively streets full of tourism, or stroll around its marina. After lunchtime we continue our route to MARMARIS, another beautiful coastal tourist enclave with its castle, marina and fountains. Dinner included.

DAY 6. MARMARIS – DALYAN – ANTALYA
We depart for DALYAN, an incredible place on a beautiful navigable river. We include a boat trip of about two hours to see the LYCIAN ROYAL TOMBS. Afterwards, we continue by boat across a large lake where we stop at the thermal springs, where, if you wish, you may bathe in the warm waters or enjoy a mud bath. Time for lunch in one of the many riverside restaurants in Dalyan.
Continuation to ANTALYA, where we will make a brief visit to this large coastal city of over one million inhabitants, including Hadrian’s Gate, the Ottoman quarter, and its great waterfall that drops directly into the sea. Dinner included.

DAY 7. ANTALYA – ASPENDOS – SIDE – KARAMAN – NIĞDE
We leave Antalya for ASPENDOS, where we visit the Roman theatre, considered by many to be the best preserved in the world. Afterwards, in SIDE, we will admire the Greek Temple of Apollo by the sea. Time to stroll around its harbour and lively streets. Through impressive landscapes we cross the Taurus Mountains, whose peaks of over 3,500 metres are covered in snow for most of the year. Stop in KARAMAN where we will see the exterior of the immense fortress. Continuation to NIĞDE, on the edge of the Cappadocia region. Dinner included.

DAY 8. NIĞDE – CAPPADOCIA
Full day in the fantastic region of CAPPADOCIA, with its lunar landscapes, cave churches and troglodyte villages. We begin by visiting GÜMÜŞLER, an incredible 7th-century underground monastery with perhaps the best Byzantine frescoes in Turkey. In KAYMAKLI, we will discover the underground city that could shelter 30,000 people. Afterwards, we visit the natural fortress of UÇHISAR. After lunch, we visit the GÖREME Valley, with its open-air museum and rock-cut churches. Entrance included. Dinner included in AVANOS.

DAY 9. CAPPADOCIA – SAFRANBOLU
A fantastic day awaits us in inland Anatolia as we travel north through landscapes that gradually become greener. SAFRANBOLU, arrival in the early afternoon to discover this wonderful small town declared a World Heritage Site, which was once an important stop on the caravan routes. In the courtyard of a magnificent old Caravanserai, we include a traditional Turkish tea. Dinner included.

DAY 10. SAFRANBOLU – GÖKGÖL CAVE – EREĞLI – ISTANBUL
Today our route follows the Black Sea and its green landscapes. At GÖKGÖL CAVE, entrance is included to this magnificent cave with its underground river and multiple colours. In EREĞLI, by the Black Sea, we will have time for lunch, and we also include a visit to its impressive Cehennemağzı caves and tombs, steeped in mythology. Continuation to ISTANBUL. Arrival at the end of the day.

DAY 11. ISTANBUL – DEPARTURE CITY
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to return to your departure city, if this service has been booked through us.
- Optional excursions can be booked in advance of the trip. Please contact us.
- Add stops of between 1 and 7 nights (depending on the itinerary) in different cities before continuing the route.
- You may share a room with another traveller, which makes the price more advantageous for you. If, in the end, the room is occupied only by you, the price will not be affected and you will have the room to yourself.
- During high season, from May to October (inclusive), accommodation will be provided in Aydın instead of Kuşadası. In this case, after visiting Ephesus and before continuing to Aydın, we will make a stop in Kuşadası (16:30–19:00), where a panoramic tour of the city will be included.
- On some occasions, especially in summer, our hotel may be located in Muğla, a town near Marmaris.
