We include a ferry crossing over the Shanghai River, from where we enjoy fantastic views of both sides of the city. We will travel back in time as we walk through the streets of the Old City and visit Yuyuan Garden, a private garden built during the Ming Dynasty. We will enjoy a demonstration of the tea ceremony, a drink that, through its tradition, aroma and flavour, plays a highly important cultural role in China. We will also pass through one of the trendiest districts of the city, Xintiandi. Lunch included.
We will walk through Tianzifang, an old residential area located in the former French Concession, known for its narrow, labyrinth-like traditional alleyways filled with small handicraft shops and art galleries. We recommend an evening boat ride to see Shanghai illuminated — it will be an unforgettable experience.

- Optional excursions can be booked in advance of the trip. Please contact us.
- Add stops of between 1 and 7 nights (depending on the itinerary) in different cities before continuing the route.
- You may share a room with another traveller, which makes the price more advantageous for you. If, in the end, the room is occupied only by you, the price will not be affected and you will have the room to yourself.
- For heritage protection reasons and to increase visitor safety, the governing body of the Imperial Palace, or Forbidden City, has reduced the daily visitor capacity for an indefinite period. If it cannot be operated, it will be replaced by a visit to the Temple of Confucius and the Lama Temple, both also emblematic of Chinese history and culture.
