DAY 1. DEPARTURE CITY – CHIHUAHUA
Welcome to Mexico! Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Our guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to take you on a visit including: the Pancho Villa Museum, the Cathedral, Quinta Gameros Museum, the Government Palace, and the old residential areas.

DAY 2. CHIHUAHUA – CREEL
After breakfast, we depart through beautiful mountain and forest landscapes, passing through towns inhabited by Mennonites. We travel 260 km to reach CREEL. We are in a magical town with a lively tourist atmosphere, considered the gateway to the Copper Canyon. We include a tour visiting Lake Arareko, the old San Ignacio Mission, caves still inhabited by the Tarahumara people, and the rock formations of the Valley of Mushrooms and Frogs.

DAY 3. CREEL – DIVISADERO
Today we travel 130 km by road through magnificent scenery. We include a tour to Piedra Volada, the Adventure Park, the Hanging Bridge and viewpoints. At the Adventure Park, you will have the opportunity to take part in various activities such as the cable car, zip line, zip rider, quad bike and bicycle rental, and guided hikes with the Tarahumara people. These activities are not included (tickets available at the park ticket office). Lunch included. After lunch, guided walk through the area to admire different canyon views and visit a Tarahumara cave. Continuation to the hotel and dinner included.

DAY 4. DIVISADERO – CHEPE EXPRESS – LOS MOCHIS
Today we board the Chepe Express through the canyons, one of the most spectacular tourist trains in the world (tourist class). The train ventures into the mountains, crossing rugged geography, passing alongside steep cliffs, through 86 impressive short and long tunnels, and over 37 spectacular bridges spanning powerful rivers. During this journey, you will enjoy the best views of the destination and also pass the highest bridge and El Descanso, the longest tunnel on the route.
Arrival in LOS MOCHIS, where you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Free time in this city, founded in 1893 by Albert K. Owen, an American engineer, as part of his socialist utopian project known as The Topolobampo Colony, in the centre of an important agricultural region driven by sugar cane production, which played a key role in the city’s economic development.

DAY 5. LOS MOCHIS – GUADALAJARA
Free time in LOS MOCHIS until your transfer to the airport. We include a flight to GUADALAJARA, transfer to your hotel and free time. You are in the capital of the state of Jalisco, a colonial city and birthplace of Mariachi and Tequila.

DAY 6. GUADALAJARA
In the morning, we include a visit to Guadalajara, a modern metropolis with a colonial historic centre, its cathedral, market and Plaza Tapatía. We will enter the Hospicio Cabañas, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the visit, we will depart for the nearby town of TEQUILA, where entrance to the Mundo Cuervo distillery is included to learn about the production process of the famous Mexican drink (entrance and tasting included). Afterwards, free time to stroll and have lunch in the picturesque town of TEQUILA. After lunch, return to Guadalajara.

DAY 7. GUADALAJARA – GUANAJUATO
We travel to the state of GUANAJUATO.
Arrival at midday. In the afternoon, we include a visit to this beautiful university city, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its steep slopes, narrow streets and churches. We also include the funicular ride to enjoy the view from El Pípila.

DAY 8. GUANAJUATO – DOLORES HIDALGO – SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE – QUERÉTARO
Through mountain scenery we travel to DOLORES HIDALGO, the cradle of Mexican independence. Afterwards, we visit the Sanctuary of ATOTONILCO, known as the Sanctuary of God and Country, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site (on some occasions we may not be able to visit the interior due to religious retreats). We then continue to SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage city with viceregal architecture and cobbled streets. Time for a stroll.
Later we arrive in QUERÉTARO, with its beautiful colonial centre, Plaza de Armas, and lively restaurants and pedestrian streets.

DAY 9. QUERÉTARO – TULA – PUEBLA
We depart for TULA, where entrance and visit to its archaeological site are included, the ancient capital of the Toltecs. Its greatest attraction is the Atlantes, imposing four-metre-high warrior figures. We will also see pyramids, palaces and carved columns reflecting the sophistication of this pre-Hispanic civilisation.
Arrival in PUEBLA, a historic city known for its gastronomic tradition, colonial architecture and ceramics. Highlights include its great Renaissance cathedral and lively zócalo. Overnight in this city, full of life and activity.

DAY 10. PUEBLA – OAXACA
We travel to the state of Oaxaca, crossing mountainous regions of pleasant scenery. Arrival in OAXACA at the end of the morning.
Included visit to this UNESCO World Heritage city of Aztec origin, with its impressive monumental heritage. We ascend to the site of MONTE ALBÁN, set on a mountain 400 metres above the Oaxaca Valley — entrance and visit included — the grandest of the Zapotec cities. Return to Oaxaca. Free time to continue enjoying the city.

DAY 11. OAXACA – SAN PABLO VILLA DE MITLA – TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ
Early departure. Brief stop in SAN PABLO VILLA DE MITLA, a Pueblo Mágico. Time for a walk beside the 16th-century Church of San Pablo and along its attractive rustic streets. We continue our route through the mountains of Oaxaca towards the Isthmus. Lunch included en route. At the end of the afternoon, we arrive in TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ, capital of the state of Chiapas.

DAY 12. TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ – SUMIDERO CANYON – CHIAPA DE CORZO – ZINACANTÁN – SAN JUAN CHAMULA – SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS
We visit the SUMIDERO CANYON, where we take a boat through this impressive canyon nearly 1 km deep and 14 km long. Afterwards, a walk through CHIAPA DE CORZO, a colonial town rich in tradition and culture. We then delve into Mayan culture, visiting beautiful villages inhabited by the Tzotzil people.
In ZINACANTÁN we will admire the clothing worn by the women, as well as their small weaving workshops and shops. In SAN JUAN CHAMULA, we will be amazed by its church, which blends Christianity with pre-Columbian traditions in its rituals. Continuation to SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS. Free afternoon in this beautiful colonial city founded in 1528.

DAY 13. SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS – MEXICO CITY
Departure transfer from San Cristóbal to Tuxtla Gutiérrez Airport to take the flight (included) to MEXICO CITY. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 14. MEXICO CITY
Today we visit Mexico City and the impressive site of TEOTIHUACÁN (entrance included), located 40 km from the capital. After breakfast, we begin our tour by visiting the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, where past and present merge. From there, we continue to the impressive archaeological site of Teotihuacán, where we will visit the monumental Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, the Temple of Quetzalpapalotl, the Citadel, and the Avenue of the Dead. We will also visit a handicraft centre.
On our return to the city, we visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patron Saint of the Americas. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day free.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to return to your departure city, if this service has been booked through us.
